The debut frigiD touch CD, Hello World. grew out of a friend's suggestion to take the National Solo Album Month challenge to write and record an entire album during the month of November. No time to over-think it... Just write, and hit record. The close writing period generated a greater continuity within this body of work than has been seen in previous projects.
Working within such tight time constraints, Földi decided to keep it simple by writing and recording entirely on a Macintosh Powerbook using VST synthesizer plug-ins. The vocals are decidedly minimal and heavily processed and song themes are heavily inspired by sensual influences, including the music of Bryan Ferry, Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp. Hello World. has already spawned several videos, which may be viewed at video.frigiDtouch.com.
Since the early 90s, Földi has established himself as the driving force behind State of Being, creating a strong blend of heavy electro-rock. The band's sound was best realized in the CD "Haywire", produced by former Stabbing Westward and The The member Andrew Kubiszewski. The CD spawned the single "Levity", which received significant airplay in Cleveland, Phoenix, and as far away as Melbourne, Australia. The band performed supporting gigs for Thrill Kill Kult, Pigface, Chemlab, The Church, Kill Hannah, The Used and many others.
