Lavish electronics produce a symphonic air that is peppered with orchestral touches and powerful keyboard passages of inspired majestic disposition. Synthesized horns mix with heavenly choirs, lending an empirical altitude to the music. Complexity merges

Album Notes

Eloy Fritsch is the keyboard player for the Progressive Rock group Apocalypse and as a solo artist he creates cosmic Electronic Music. His newest work to date, Atmosphere, can be easily considered a classic of contemporary EM. The music is sweeping, grand, and at times orchestral. It moves from clear melodic themes that are somewhat earthly (in the good sense, that is - and there's no wonder - in the first part of album Fritsch paints pictures of the lower layers of our atmosphere) to the more experimental out-there stuff in the middle of the album, only to return back to anthemic epicness by the end. This is, indeed, celestial music that moves slowly and at times seems to go completely out of control (during the more experimental moments) and at other times sounds totally composed (during the more melodic passages). The closest comparison would be probably Vangelis. Not recent stuff, but more vintage period when he used lots of analogue instruments. Nevertheless, Fritsch has found his own style within melodic Electronic Music framework. I think that every EM fan should listen to at least one of his albums. It's a pity that so many listeners want to hear just bland copies of their favourite musicians and somewhat ignore unique talent and music.

Eloy FRITSCH performs an elegant electronic music that evolves between VANGELIS’ ambient & impressionist electronic, and the synthesised Progressive rock of masters such as Rick WAKEMAN or Patrick MORAZ. A genre that he’s used to for many years with the band APOCALYPSE. The 2003 album is a great one: from the start, the well-named "Atmosphere - Electronic Suite" evokes the excellent "Heaven And Hell" (VANGELIS) opus, with emphatic choirs and majestic orchestral parts. The opus reveals once again the Eloy FRITSCH’s ecological convictions: he presently defends the virtues of the gas envelope that allow everyone to live on Earth: the Atmosphere. Take your tickets to an ocean of happiness !

Eloy Fritsch shows once again his great talent to build electronic music brimming with feelings. To create this album, the artist was inspired by the beauty of the air paths of our world. From the romanticism of a spring sky to the violence of storms, the listener is immersed into an exciting journey among the clouds. The album has a marked symphonic air, with classical elements and some touches of Progressive Rock, all this under an epic focus, powerful, and undoubtedly impressive. JORGE MUNNSHE
