"Adams Hotel Road" is the second cd of Alt-Country music from Berks County,Pennsylvania's Frog Holler.
"He sketches vivid pictures of the beauty and ugliness of rural life,..."
Meredith Ochs
No Depression
"There's a little bit of every kind of Americana at work here, some of it pure-bred,some cross-pollinated;all of it plays out pretty darn convincingly."
Jim Musser
No Depression
"The album's well textured blend of country and rock frames the finely wrought and often sweetly melancholy songs of acoustic guitarist and main singer Darren Schlappich"
Nick Cristiano
Philadelphia Inquirer
"The album succeeds this way, with old and new,
abrasive and laid back, exuberance and exasperation,
soulfully held together."
Andy Turner
Country Standard Time
"Adams Hotel Road is simply a great album"
Jim Speece
Reading Eagle/Reading Times
"The songwriting of guitar player/singer Darren Schlappich-painfully poignant but occasionally over sentimental,is beautifully evocative, drawing on influences from real old-timey country to modern muses like Paul Westerberg and Jeff Tweedy."
Brian Howard
Philadelphia City Paper
"So ultimately you have something that's more than
the sum of its parts, that happens to be very good, with strong, often witty songwriting,a cohesive band,
and that(surprise, surprise)beats the hell out of most
major label entrants in the alt.country stakes."

author: Sera
Adams Hotel Road is perfect traveling music. From the opening track "Least Most Wanted" to "Monorail" and ending with "Hey Boy", this album has a snapshot of every long drive I've ever taken. This is the first Alt-Country Album I've ever admitted I liked. Thanks for my first guys. Oh...and I really want to try some corn liquor now!
