Harold Davis a.k.a. FRO is a jazz-rock guitarist whose music is ever evolving and defying categories.
FRO began his own project in 1995 and has opened and/or appeared with diverse national acts including Tower Of Power, Screaming Headless Torsos, Toots and the Maytals , Deep Banana Blackout, the Alex Skolnick Trio and Garaj Mahal featuring Fareed Haque & Kai Eckhart.
FRO has released two self-produced CDs. His first CD was an EP, called “On Your Mark, Get Set, FRO!” that was release in November 2001. In late December 2002 early-January 2003, FRO released a full-length CD, called “The Paisley Album.” Each CD has received favorable reviews.
Besides his own project, FRO has performed with others as a sideman. One of note is working with Jen Durkin, a funk/soul vocalist from DeepBanana Blackout.
Currently, FRO performs his instrumental music in both trio and quartet settings. He will also be recording a his third CD for release featuring live and studio tracks.
