A NOTE FROM MARCY--Author of "Guns Are No Fun"
Hi... My name is Marcella Iris Fruchter. I'm known to friends as "Marcy" and I hail from New York. I have written several family/children's musicals, stories and poems. I have also worked as a musical director for an off-off Broadway children's musical. I love entertaining children and families. I take great pleasure in making you smile and making you laugh a lot. I am able to get a lot of serious messages across to you by using humor.
Some people may wonder where I get my inspiration. For starters, my parents are pretty terrific and my dad is a very funny guy. Like father...like daughter...I inherited my dad's gift for entertaining people and making them laugh. Everything I have written contains humor as a means to both entertain and educate my audience.
GUNS ARE NO FUN is my first Lumar Production. GUNS ARE NO FUN, a humorous ghost story that was written in rhyming verse, contains many valuable lessons on guns, friendships, and especially on how to get along with each other. There are four parts that are listened to in succession.
I recommend listening to the CD straight through (45 minutes) and then going back to listen to your favorite part. It may even be fun to imagine yourself back in the days of old-time radio, where you can close your eyes and see the entire production in your head.
The song from Gypsy, "Let Me Entertain You" is my motto. So, buy my CD, sit back...and enjoy the show!
Love Marcy
