This cd is a display true talent...this is definitely a cd I can listen to repeatedly. The drumming is fantastic and the singing along with the background intruments adds another element to the rhythm, leaving the listener with a feeling of overwhelming bliss...as if they are in Africa. I am looking forward to part 2, I'm sure it would be just as good if not better than Fakoly 1

Great percussion and great singing
author: David Hart
Djolé (6) is a good introduction to Fode's skill. There is a wonderful solo on the wooden Krin by the late Kemoko Sano in Baho (9). In addition to amazing drum work, the vocals transport us to the optimistic charm of Guinea. Yankadi (4) puts together great Balafon playing by Fomoro Diabate with typically playful, good-natured singing. Kadan (2) features a sweet solo by M’Mah Bangoura. The album concludes with a haunting rendition of Soundiata (10) sung by Abdoulaye Diabate, accompanied by Yacouba Cissoko on Kora.
