Album Notes

I decided to use reviews rather than my own words to describe the CD "Slowly Rollin'". I've been playing professionally for 30 years including 10 years with a very popular Celtic based quartet called "The Greencastle Band" from the 70's to mid 80's. After taking 5+ years out of the business for family obligations, I started playing with fellow multi-instrumentalist Mike Fischman as the "Folk Support Group". We recorded this CD in 1997. I'm currently working on a solo project and one of the songs "White Shirts/Hungry Children" is the opening song for a compilation CD "The Time Is Now" produced by the 1 Of 52 Artist Hunger Network. Proceeds will be donated to various food banks and soup kitchens.

"Jesus Doesn't Kleck No Tax, Wassail" - I have loved this tune from the get-go when I first heard it live ... awesome covers of Robert Johnson's "Walkin' Blues" and the New Lost City Ramblers' "Model 'A' Ford ... I was particularly touched by "The Fields Are Alive", a tune concerned with not only the loss of our fields and our seas but with the hands that tended and harvested them ...
