Album Notes

Fucious began his professional career recording with legendary producer Phillip “Fattis” Burrell in his Kingston, Jamaica recording studio. Fattis, owner of Reggae power house Xterminator Record Company, has launched the careers of artists such as Luciano, Turbulence, and Sizzla. Fucious has also recorded with numerous Reggae artists including Capleton, Michael Rose (former lead singer of Black Uhuru), El General, and Marsha (“Take a Piece of My Heart,” released on Shaggy’s label Big Yard). Fucious has also worked with many acclaimed producers such as Dee Nucka who’s productions include: (Lexis, Wayne Wonder, “No Holding Back Remix” with LL Cool J, Rayvon from Shaggy’s label Big Yard), also producer Silky (New Edition) and King Tuch.

Fucious is an accomplished song writer whose background in writing poetry translates into captivating lyrics with topics ranging from love and relationships to spirituality and current events. Fucious has recorded his songs on solo projects, in collaboration with other artists and periodically ghost writes for Reggae and R&B artists. You can hear Fucious on the single “Love without Pain” (featuring Krucial) released on VP Records, and the single “The General,” recorded with renowned Reggae singer Michael Rose. You can also hear Fucious on the song “One Gun” (featuring Turbulence), which appeared on a compilation called “The World Shall See” (released on VP Records) with songs from artists like Cocoa Tea, Capleton, and Beres Hammond.

Fucious’ mission in writing music is to push the envelope while breaking down barriers set by current musical standards. Fucious lives up to his mission song after song by incorporating a range of influences, which has resulted in a fresh and unique musical landscape. Fucious’ sound is rooted in Hip Hop, but encompasses Reggae, Dance Hall, Rock, Spanish and even House music. His ability to create relevant and captivating songs without relying on obscenities, violent imagery or degrading lyrics in his message is also refreshing and unique. He is the invisible enigma in his diverse musical style and the common thread within it all. A force to be felt and not just heard, Fucious will make his presence known in the music world and leave a lasting impression.

A solid spiritually themed album. The Real Hip Hop and Raw Root Reggae energy marry well musically, and the rock influenced Worlds Collide feeds an alternative/unique sound for the ear.Third Eye Lyrics, Complementary beats, and the ABSENCE of oversaturated gangsta/pimp rhyme scenario's make THE JOURNEY a must hear.Embrya,Who Want It?,Living This Life,Heaven,The General, and One Gun are my favorite joints. My ears will be waiting for more music like this in the future. One Love!
