Formed in 2003 by singer/songwriter Jason Hinze, the Fuel worship band has always had its sights set high -- "I had no idea what to expect," says Hinze. "I only knew that God had opened a door in my musical career to apply my gifts towards Him. Having no experience, I took a leap of faith and my life was changed." And changing lives is what the band is all about. Rounded out by guitarist Nicholas Petersen, drummer Oscar Montes, vocalist Stephanie Koch, keyboardist Matt McCrary and rotating bassists Jarad Garwood and Joseph Fugate, the Fuel worship band strives to, through worship and the age-old power of song, come to know -- and let others know -- God and Jesus Christ. The band brings both original and covered material to the stage weekly at an Omaha college worship gathering with which to tell the truth of the awesome power of the Father and His love. Using acoustic and electric guitars, Hinze and Petersen steer the band's sound in a few different directions. With sometimes sprawling jams, sometimes contemplative folk songs and sometimes all-out good, fun rock, the Fuel worship band always plays with the best of pop and spiritual sensibilities. Now, the band is ready to spread the good news farther. -To bring musicians, voices and ultimately hearts together, to lift those things to God in exaltation, to take that leap of faith on a breath caught by song -- this is worship, this is the Fuel band.

The Fuel Worship Band was fronted by Jason Hinze throughout 2006. Members have remained close, but have ceased to play under the banner of FUEL. 4 of its members have moved on to THEOCITY(www.myspace.com/theocity), a modern worship movement in Omaha, NE. Taking influence and spreading...giving proof that sometimes you "plant", sometimes you "water", and sometimes you "sew"...
