Last year Mari Fukuhara released her original 1st solo album Octave,including her latest commercial theme for Morinaga chocolate from Lastrum Records. Mari's music is really difficult to describe with a word, but it doesn't mean that it's to difficult to explain what it is.

Her style of music is very individual comparing to other artists. If you have to separate in a style of music, maybe you have to choose like a New-Age type of music or soundtrack, but it's more than that.

In her songs, she had used a lot of strings in a style of contemporary music and other. She's also has a big influence from a music of Europe.

"Issay meets Dolly", a newly born band, composed of one vocalist, one acoustic piano (Mari Fukuhara) and one violin, is performing now, participating in live events. The band also performs rock music sometimes.

Born in Tokyo.Graduate from TOHO Music University.Started her music career as a member of the band [SHI-SHONEN], and [REAL FISH] in 80's.
'97 Released her own solo album [OCTAVE]
'99 she make music for the movie [MOUMANTAI](HongKong / Japan)
and released soundtrack album.
then she directed music number of Movies and TV commercials,
also doing song writing for singers.
'05 she started PIANO SOLO live concert constantly.
