ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Full Hundred's debut album "State of Affairs," was written and recorded by Michael Hamilton and Matthew Branco at Riddim House Studios in Baltimore, MD, home of the legendary reggae group Jah Works. The album was recorded over the course of a year and a half and mixed and mastered by Steve Wright at Wrightway Studios. Michael Hamilton plays a gibson epiphone acoustic guitar, a fender telecaster, and a fender precision bass special. Matthew Branco plays a martin acoustic guitar, and a fender stratocaster. Keys and drum programming were done on a korg triton. Jonathan Pang and Amby Connor played live drums on the album on a Gretsch Catalina kit. Ben Strock played trumpet on tracks 7 and 12. Vocals were recorded on a Shure SM7B through a brick DI. Matthew Branco, Roc Sullivan, and Matt Patterson sing back ups on tracks 1 and 3. Michael Hamilton sings lead. Steve Wright mixes on an SSL mixing board.
The album was conceived and recorded on acoustic guitars and built originally to programmed beats off of the Triton. Bass was recorded direct through a Brick DI into a PreSonus preamp. Jonathan Pang played live drums on all the tracks except tracks 11 and 12, on which Amby Connor played. Cabasas, tambourines, and some wood blocks were added to several of the tracks. Full Hundred is a collaboration between Michael Hamilton(bass Jah Works) and Matthew Branco(Wicked Race). Jonathan Pang is a full time drummer for Jah Works. Amby Connor is a veteran drummer and bass player from St Croix who has played with numerous reggae groups in the Baltimore Washington area.
