Album Notes

Funkhouse began in Chicago in 1989 with the teaming up of several former members of the local bands Phineus J. and Mr. Myers.
Damian Smith & Tom Sullivan led an 8 piece Funk-Rock band who's sound was compared to the great horn bands of the '70's.
The band featured full horns and a strong rhythm section ala Tower of Power and Average White Band.
Funkhouse traveled all over the country but stayed close to home most of the time, concentrating on performing at colleges around the mid-west.
Released in 1996, "Come In" represents the culmination of eight years of performing, songwriting and line-up changes.
The songs feature strong vocal performances by Damian Smith as well as song stylings that have been compared to bands like Hall & Oates and Chicago.

Great funk n' horn band
author: Mr G
Warm and soulful vocals with hot horn and rhythm sections. Hold on Me kicks off the cd and is worth the price of admission by itself.
