“Conversation Music” is The FuraFuraMegane's debut album, released in February 2009.

The FuraFuraMegane are a Japanese band who make psychedelic, blues and rock music. They are inspired by classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, etc., and are dedicated to reviving these bands' original musical visions in newly interpreted ways, accompanied by Japanese lyrics.

The FuraFuraMegane are a trio band and they love improvisational music. Following in the footsteps of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream, both very aggressive improvisational trios, the FuraFuraMegane choose to be a 3-member band. They believe the smaller the band, the more freedom in improvisation. The intimacy between the members plays like a conversation...sometimes laughing, sometimes crying.

The band is based out of Shimokitazawa, a quaint neighborhood in Tokyo known for its live houses and theaters. The band also sometimes gives free concerts just outside Shimokitazawa station.

Their songs are a bit longer: entrancing – but never dull!


2009年2月リリースされた「カンバセーション ミュージック！」は、ザ・フラフラ眼鏡が結成から4年をかけて熟成させた珠玉の曲を詰め込んだファーストアルバムだ。

ザ・フラフラ眼鏡は、サイケデリック、ブルース、ロックを基本として曲を作り、ときに即興演奏を織り交ぜる日本人のスリーピースバンド。６０年代のロックに影響を受け、彼らなりの方法で再解釈するとともに彼らの音楽を生み出している。

彼らは、ジミヘンドリクスエクスピアリアンスやクリームらに倣って、自由奔放にロックジャムを炸裂させるスリーピースを選んだ。彼らのジャムは、会話するように飛び回る。ときに笑い、ときに叫び、変幻自在に飛び回る。

現在の音楽シーンからすると、少し長いと思われる曲ばかりだが、アルバムを聴き終えた頃には、それは退屈どころか深い深い精神世界への旅の始まりだと感じることだろう。
