Album Notes

My name is Bill Furner I am an acoustical guitarist.
I grew up in San Francisco and moved over to Corte Madera Ca. (15 minuets from Golden Gate Bridge) with my parents when I was 11 years old. I have lived there pretty much ever since. My wife Sharon and I have a nice house and we have one son and two daughters: Robin, Saira, and Will.

Years ago I went to B.Y.U for a few semesters. I really only wanted to perform on stage playing classical guitar there. Got to play in front of 13000 people at the Mariott center with a famous year-in and year-out group called the Young Ambassadors. The college gave me a very nice letter of recommendation. I thought that was really neat.

Since then I've performed at many places too numerous to mention but basicly I love to play just about anywhere. In fact even in my bathroom! I recorded Praise Be To The Lord Almighty in my tiled bathroom. I tiled it with marble, so it gave nice ambience for that type of tune I thought.

I have played fingerpicking acoustical guitar for decades. Just bought an $1800.00 Santa Cruz Om/PW acoustical guitar. I call that guitar "Betsy" ! I bought her at the Marin County Guitar show which is very close to where I live. I could tell she stood out amongst the higher priced acoustical guitars, even the ones that were in the $10,000.00 range.

Being a member of Macjams.com (Indpendent online musicians site) has really, really made me a much better acoustical guitarist without question. They are very picky about production and musical quality. They have a fantastic rating system to say the least.
And many performers there are top notch!
So the key there is to try to get on the weekly picks and see how far up you can go to the top. I have had many number ones in various categories such as "Downloads, Fans, Ratings, Hits etc. Simon the owner there has done a wonderful job! Because of being there I was featured on a locat radio show live for two hours! I played many of my original tunes.

I recently composed a piece called "Skip To My Lou Variations" the "One Production Place's" owner liked that music and wants to pay me for my services". His name is Neal Broffman, his business is located in Atlanta GA. He located me on www.Icompositions.com. He featured
He featured me on a production that he just sent to me. It was on DVD!
He made the video and I play acoustical guitar in the back round. It was made for broadcast.

The first song "A Dance In The Meadow", I would like to give credit to a www.macjams.com musician Ed Hannifin for giving me melody ideas from his song; "A Song Of This World".
