Continuing his exploration of the music of Arabia and Asia mixed with seriously funky beats, genius guitarist David “Fuze” Fiuczynski (Me'Shell NdegéOcello, Lunar Crush with John Medeski) releases his second KiF CD, “KiF Express”. Fuze has been influenced by Asian folk melodies and Arabic calls to prayer and has combined them with totally modern grooves for a sound that is uniquely his own, with high-energy jazz-rock workouts and reflective ballads, R&B beats with completely unexpected melodies topping them, and a focus on songwriting, KiF sounds like nothing else out there today – a claim often made but seldom achieved.
