Album Notes

The album is called "JK Savage". "JK" standing for "Jim Kelly" as in the actor from the blaxploitation/ kung-fu films of the 70's (Black Belt Jones, 3 the Hard Way, Enter the Dragon).The "Savage" part meaning derelict or outcast of the mainstream norm in hip hop. The expression of Jim Kelly stems from my follow-up album, "The Jim Kelly Acquisition", available through Central-Standard records (summer 09'). I used Jim Kelly as a mascot and focal point of inspiration embodying "soul", and "charisma" through hypnotic wordplay, beats and rhyming. "JK Savage" is a compilation of songs, that didn’t necessarily fit the 'feel and format' of the soulful grooves of the "Acquisition" album. Still emerging as a noteworthy album, please don't hesitate to miss this opportunity to listen!
