Jon Galfano's fifth CD release is an all-instrumental grand piano album entitled "Pacific Point Of View." The CD totals 12 original compositions written by Jon. This followup album to his very successful 'GalfanoPiano,' of 2002, 'Pacific Point Of View' was recorded utilizing two truly excellent pianos: the first, a 9' Kawai Concert Grand Piano; the second, a Yamaha Grand Piano. Galfano's piano style is melodic and beautiful, yet soothing and uncomplicated.
The album begins with a short opening prelude of elegant strings heralding the first cut entitled 'Ride The Wild Horses,' then is filled with pure piano as Jon weaves and winds his way through 12 wonderful cuts. Be sure and listen closely for the low rumble of thunder and light rainfall in 'Rainy Morning In Paris,' the nimble paws of a Jack Russell terrier in 'Dimples In The Closet,' and the delicate touch and smooth movement of the piano keys on 'Day Of The Stallions' to name just a few of the musical treats awaiting you. The album has a total playing time of 51 minutes and 33 seconds.
A true delight for piano afficionados everywhere, Galfano's recording and mastering techniques successfully capture the true essence and excellence of these fine pianos in his music.
The album cover photograph, taken by Jon, an avid photographer, is located along the Pacific Ocean shoreline at Crescent City in far northwestern California.
The album design credits are shared with associate producer Sharon Laura Williams who also contributes her talent as photographer for the CD jacket.
