Album Notes

Jon Galfano is very excited to present the release of his new all-original, all-guitar instrumental CD titled 'Cascadia.' The title track became Jonny G's first YouTube music video on his website in the summer of 2007.

'Cascadia, Jon's eighth career album, features 11 cuts in 52 minutes of music. Working as a solo composer and artist, Jon plays all the instruments on the record, including acoustic, twelve string, bass, and lead and slide guitars, as well as keyboards. And what a diverse and interesting collection of guitar styles to entertain you!

Kicking it all off is 'Gathering of Spirits,' featuring Jon's driving lead guitar. The tempo relaxes nicely in the very deep and reflective songs 'Swirl of Cyan' and 'Pools' before the pace quickens once again with the album's title track of Cascadia.

We travel to the far Southwest English coast of Cornwall in the soft soothing melody of 'Land's End.' Then it's deja vu all over again with the 1960's stylistic track 'Are You Listening.' The 'Moody Blues' meet 'Jethro Tull?' Hmmmm.....what do you think?

Two peppy diversions titled 'Jazzy Twelve' and 'Southern Drawl' are next in line before we head west, to the American Southwest, for 'Just West of Laredo.' Keep an eye out for those steers, pardner! The very popular 'Rollin' Along' brings us back home again.
