Album Notes

A boy was found in a wicker basket floating down the Raritan River by a pack of wolves that saved him from the fate of oh so much New Jersey medical waste. The wolves raised him and taught him to play guitar. So the story goes ...

He went on to create the Jersey-based lyric-driven folk/blues/bluegrass-influenced musical project Gallery 2 as the ultimate tribute to his wolf-saviors.

The first release from Gallery 2 (self-titled) consists of ten original songs recorded in various New Jersey apartments. In addition to songwriter C. DeSarno, several tracks on the album feature bass/keyboard work by Mike "Sharky" Ryan and guitar work by James Griffin.

Gallery 2 has since been busking on Northern New Jersey streets and playing the occasional show in Hub City, reestablishing the "small rock" folk tradition.

Influences include Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Mike Doughty, Drink Me, Violent Femmes, The Magnetic Fields, Bright Eyes, Howlin Wolf, Langhorne Slim, and Johnny Cash
