REVIEW EXCERPTS:
"I've jammed the repeat button on my mental stereo. Flapjacks Forever."

"The vibrations from the landing of this album are unprecedented in their reach and scope. Through some very sane and divine miracle, it's presence and impact transcend space and time, traveling back to the sound of the first drum, the first chord, the first voice..."

"An amazing collection of great songs, sounds and words. A Classic!"

"Gandalf Murphy and their, "Flapjacks" cd is the best I have heard in many, many years. The sound is original, yet reminds us of some of the greatest songs and artists of the 60's, 70's and 80's...."

Also met the band at Bedford, England. Great sounds and hear new influences every play. Even bought a 2nd copy to gift at Christmas.

I love this album. It\'s in my car stereo and I turn Moondog House up loud when I leave work every day. The vocals are tremendous - warm and exciting and the music is reminiscent of the psychedelic days - fantastic.

Discovered Gandalf Murphy only about 2 months ago after reading about them in my mom’s hometown paper. Checked them out on I-tunes, found a very unique sound and amazingly great songs and immediately bought “Good Thief”. Heavy rotation in my car ever since. Bought “Flapjacks” a few weeks ago, equally impressive, also on heavy rotation in my car. Although I hear shades of The Who, Tom Petty, Hot Tuna, Dylan and Floyd (Syd Barrett ed.), underneath and throughout G-Murph is totally original. Every song on both albums is beautifully crafted and stands on its own. The last 3 albums that grabbed me like this were Physical Graffiti, Remain In Light and Life’s Rich Pageant. If the 3 songs I’ve heard from the forthcoming “Great Unraveling” are any indication, another great album is upon us. Hope to get out and see them later this summer.
