The songs on this CD never fail to put a smile on my face. Southwest and Sweetly are two songs that I keep coming back to listen to again, and Dance Isadora always reminds me of the need to celebrate life. I'm a huge fan.

I heard Rachel live at a house concert where we bought this cd. I'm afraid of wearing it out. The music and lyrics seem to be able to cover every mood. Great CD I can't wait for the next.

    author: Karen Kos

The first time I heard this CD I was putting a 6 month old to sleep... and then I listened again...and again. These songs just stick in your head and the music is just as great for work as it is for relaxing. I bought two CDs and I plan to get more for all my music loving friends.

  • Garlin's album is a blessing for all of us looking for old-school folk with a m

I feel as though I have been waiting for "Green Light Distance" to come out for many years now. Garlin's soft voice is a nice change from some of the harsher melodies of today's folk music. Those of us on the East Coast are really enjoying it! As one woman recently said, "Thank God Garlin is willing to share he stories! They are so moving... no matter who you are, they always seem to apply!" We cannot wait for Garlin to come out with her next albulm!

  • It´s worth to listen!

I listen to Rachel the first time in Spain in a pub and I liked very much. After I have listen to the cd and it´s as good as I thought.Beautiful melodies and good lyrics.

  • engaging songs with evocative lyrics
    author: Jason Frankovitz

This is a relaxing, enjoyable CD and I like it a lot. The lyrics are great, very well written and the songs are a mixure of lively and emotional. The arrangements are simple and complement the songs well. Both her voice and playing are smooth and clean, and I hope more people get to see her perform. This really doesn't sound like a debut album.

  • Review of Green Light Distance by Rachel Garlin
    author: Eric Livak-dahl

I've listened to the samples from this website, and it's very good. I don't usually like folk rock myself, I'm an Alternitive Rock guy, but this is very good. By the way, Rachel Garlin (Ms. Garlin to me) is my English teacher!
