The release of Spirits Within brings forth the spirits of musicians past and present. Many of the tracks are of live performances recorded in NYC, in close proximity to the origins of the music. While in college I lived in Harlem and studied down in the Village, performing often at The Knitting Factory, NYC. The sounds of Harlem and great jazz artists of the mid-twentieth century flow as you enjoy the recordings.
