I Dreamed of Rain is our first true collaboration, what we hope is a timely musical statement about taking a stand for a sane, balanced, and compassionate world in the midst of what often seems like cultural madness.

We love the production, and the way the album holds together musically and thematically. Half the songs are Jan's and half are JD's. We have woven our voices, harmonies, and musical styles together as strong medicine.....a bona fide Spiritual Political velvet-hammer wake-up call intended to open the heart and refresh the spirit. How can you resist?

I've had this CD for several years. It's one of those special albums that you can wear out, let rest for awhile, then fall in love with it all over again! That's the thing about Jan Garrett & JD Martin's music. It is timeless. Every one of their CDs is audio perfection, from the songwriting, to the performance, to the production... even the artwork is impeccable! They are, in a word, brilliant!

I had the joy of meeting you both and hearing Jan speak of her inspiration to write this song last weekend. At the same time I also saw you sing this very song at a spontaneous "open mic" during the Agape Music & Arts Symposium and I was so touched. There were many people standing around singing along some with tears streaming down their face. I was one of them. Thank you for such a beautiful music gift!
