About the Artists

Jan Garrett and JD Martin are independent award winning singer/songwriters who live and create their music in the mountains of Colorado. When they met in 1995 they had each been writing, recording, and performing their own music for many years as accomplished solo artists.

JD is an award-winning songwriter of 5 Number One and 10 Top Ten country and pop hit singles. His songs have been recorded by such luminaries as Reba McEntire, Terri Clark, B.J. Thomas, Peter Cetera, and the Oak Ridge Boys.

Jan is a jazz singer, songwriter,and wild-ass visionary who has toured with John Denver, Steve Martin and the Dirt Band, and has appeared on the Tonight Show. She is also a master teacher and the mother of identical twin daughters.

Between them, Jan and JD have written and recorded 5 CDs of original music. In their latest release, Already Home, they relax into their musical roots of folk, country, gospel, and jazz, with lyrics inspired from a broad spiritual perspective.....wise, compassionate, sometimes funny, always redemptive.....sure to open the heart and refresh the spirit.

Jan and JD's music is rich and intelligent, a velvet-hammer wake-up call as satisfying to the soul as it is to the ear. Already Home is a particularly joyful journey, with original songs on the up-tempo end of the spectrum. This is a sumptuous recording, master musicians having fun.
