"The Show" includes a CD and DVD (2-discs) that display Garrick Davis and his Fabulous FunkyBand in potent form on stage in February of 2005. Davis' masterful performance on acoustic and electric guitars, powerful vocals and infectious joy help to create a dynamic, heartfelt musical experience backed by his formidable 5-piece band.

The 11-track CD builds from the opening solo acoustic improvisational "FunkyDoodle" with the intuitive guitarist sliding into a unique cover of Jimi Hendrix' "Voodoo Child(Slight Return)" played to a rabid anticipating sold out audience. Having established his ground, Garrick brings on his band complete with richly textured Hammond B3, a strong female supporting vocalist, a free wheeling alto sax and an inventive liquid rhythm section.

"The Show" contains a wonderful array of musical styles. The first half of the audio CD disc is acoustic-based full band funky folk evolving into an electric juggernaut beginning with the elegant instrumental "G.D.'s Blues" then effortlessly flowing into the funk/blues of "The Saints" (complete with a colossal guitar/sax "showdown") , the gospel tinged and dynamic "Trust" and the 10 minute long Bo Diddley beat infused funk-laden drama of "Big Imagination" with it's absolutely burning guitar and organ explorations. The album ends with the beautiful bonus track "Shrinking Man" that was recorded solo on acoustic guitar in the living room of a friend. The listener is likely to be drawn in to imagine being in that same living room!

A 35-minute DVD contains 4 songs and artist/fan interviews to bring a clear visual perspective to the musical and personal world of Davis and his Fabulous FunkyBand. There is no freak show. Garrick is a man succeeding in sharing his gifts with his worldwide audience on his own terms.

Davis' triumphant production possesses the key ingredients of a successful recipe for a brilliant end product.
