Album Notes

Run Through Fire
GARR LANGE

Garr Lange’s second album 'Run Through Fire', is a twelve song collection where Garr does what he does best, a true crossover artist with that rare ability as a singer/songwriter to explore the deep and powerful emotions in all of us, passions which are clearly evident in his songs and vocal styling.

Run Through Fire has a definitive magic to its music. Some songs are simply fun and danceable revealing his lighter side (Wild Country, Riverside, Scare Somebody), some are extremely evocative (Never Had Love Like That, Welcome Home, Stranger in a One Horse Town, Love on the Run), while others are deeply introspective (IT…, Run Through Fire, What is Love All About, (Anything) Not to be Alone, Outta My Way). In all, his unique style ties the album together where ‘soulful’ is an understatement. He effortlessly switches hats as a singer…from the bluesy rocker, to the torch singer, to the smoldering passionate narrator, to the light hearted tongue-in-cheek good ‘ol boy. Very few singer/songwriters can do this so convincingly, seducing us to believe him while delivering his truth.

Garr’s crossover appeal is truly on display in this album. His trademark sound is one that has proven to reach a vast and varied audience.

“Garr Lange's musical roots run deep and are clearly evidenced on his latest release "Run Through Fire". Weaving tenderness, turmoil and everything in between, coupled with just enough commercial appeal, makes this one an AAA winner.”

Hot original grooves, great mix of styles, and the stories his songs and lyrics tell are very visual. I can easily picture them in my mind, the characters and what they are doing. Excellent production where it just makes me want to turn it up. Plus, his voice and the background vocals are terrific!

This CD thrilled me to the core. Always looking for new music, a friend suggested I check this out and I'm so glad I did. Garr Lange writes and composes GREAT music. With so much music out there, and SO much of it sounding the same, I was wowed by the originality of the lyrics and loved the composition. Great back-up sound, strong instrumentation, a unique sound. Buy this CD. You will not be disappointed. Thanks, Garr Lange.

Very, VERY good album. Read my review, then buy the CD!

The CD should have been called WELL...you can tell that Garr has dipped into the well of good music as his CD is well recorded, well played, well written, well sung, and a welcome change from the crap that's been coming out of Nashville! "Welcome Home" should be playing over the radio waves right now! "Scare Somebody" is so campy (yet, so good) that it will be played at every Halloween party from here on. And here's a challenge for you...go on a drive, play "Riverside" and see if you can stay in a bad mood. It's impossible! Another great album from a great artist!
