Album Notes

It's about time someone brought "Ferry Cross the Mersey" into the modern world. And if you like hard fast shuffle instrumentals, check out "The Wanton Song". Speaking of hard covers, how about "Chest Fever"? Plus 12 originals penned by Gary Alt that span everything from "Crystal Orchid", a guitar-vocal-string-quartet piece a la Beatles, good old rock & roll, and haunting piano/guitar/female vocalist compositions "Love For So Long" and "April May Soon". Guaranteed to plz.

Mixed Bag Of Goodies

Stellar original tunes that are both rockin and mellow. The rockin ones with Larry Hayden guesting may remind you of Rush. Most of the tunes have a definite British flavor especially with Jason A on vocals. Fine playing throughout and a nice array of guest vocalists. A few nicely reworked 60's and 70's nuggets along with a theocratic theme or two. Bravo!

Good stuff! This latest offering of the multi-talented Sir Alt has plenty to keep you coming back. A satisfying mixture of gutsy rock with smart ballads. He presentssome interesting takes on some well known tunes. Plus a cover that might cause some to Google the title. ("Chest Fever". Will Robitussin help?) Standouts for this listener are "God in a Box" (A cool 60's/70's Clapton throwback), "Crystal Orchid" (Paul McCartney called. He wants his essence back.), "Maybe an Angel" (Just a downright infectious riff and groove) and "April May Soon" (Sweet folksy ballad I can't get out of my head.) Pop it in the player for a couple weeks and you'll be humming these tunes for years to come.
