Album Notes

A multifaceted performer, Gary plays guitar, harmonica, bass and drums.
Originally labeled a blues musician, Gary has always had an appreciation for all genres of music. His performances are a unique blend of R&B, reggae, blues, and soul.

In addition to being a performer, Gary is a singer/songwriter and wrote all of the lyrics and music for his "Worry No More" and "110" CDs. He also wrote the score for the Jason Wiles movie "Lenexa 1 Mile".

Gary is also pursuing acting and can be seen in an the John Sayles movie "Honeydripper". A soundtrack featuring 3 songs performed by Gary is also available from Rhino Records.

A 4th CD project is in the works.


Awards and recognition:

March 2008 Gary was named best electric guitarist at the Austin Music Awards

March 14, 2007 Gary was chosen Best Blues Artist at the Austin Music Awards.

March 15, 2006 Gary and his band were presented with an award for Best Blues Band at the Austin Music Awards.

On March 17, 2004 the Austin Music Awards were announced. Gary was voted Austin's Best Blues Musician. He also made the list of the top 20 electric guitarists.

The February 2004 issue of Brilliant Magazine listed Gary as one of the Top 100 Singles in Texas. The magazine describes those on the list as "some of the most gorgeous, interesting and talked-about Texans".

May 3, 2001 was declared Gary Clark, Jr. Day in Austin, Texas. Gary was honored by the mayor of Austin for helping Austin maintain it's claim to fame as the 'live music capital of the world'.

This young man is definitely one to watch and we think, once you hear his music, you will become a life-long fan.
