I've been writing songs for over thirty years and somewhere along the way I started to get the hang of it. I don't like writing bios (who does?) and I don't have one in the can that I think fits here so I'll just tell you that I'm a fifty-three year old man with a wonderful twelve year old son and an amazing woman that through some miracle loves me more than I deserve.
I write these songs with my heart and my mind and my soul. The words and the music work together and they have something to say that you've been wanting to hear.
I've been performing professionally my whole life in all kinds of venues, large and small, concerts and festivals mostly, and people always like what I do. Writing Christmas songs is a particular kind of a challenge. How to write songs that are fresh and original and can still find a place along side so many rich, shared traditions. I thought "well the stories have all been told over and over" but once I started I found that there were plenty left to tell and I think I'll be writing Christmas songs for many years to come.
