Fresh Brew is a musical journey involving different musicians from "Up All Night" jazz saxophonist Ron Fattorusso to classical flutist Jeanne Tarrant. You will hear featured artists Mitch Farber on guitar, Billy Ross on saxophones, John Kricker on trombone, Miami Sound Machine trumpeter Doug Michels, drummer Craig Pichanick, muted trumpet solo from Juan Natividad all enhancing keyboardist/pianist Gary Farr featuring all VERY original music. Gary wasn't looking to please the commercial audience here yet a few songs could be considered smooth jazz. The concept of the Fresh Brew CD was to blend different styles and rhythms from reggae to orchestral music all with a heavy overtone of jazz and improvisation. 'A Little Sun Shower' single released to jazz stations across the country and Europe.
"As a pianist I have been inspired by many jazz greats. To name a few; Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and Thelonious Monk. As a composer, I have been influenced by jazz, classical and pop composers, from Bach to the Beatles, from John Coltrane to John Williams. Music has been in my blood as far back as I remember. I play what I write and I write what I feel from an emotion within myself or an idea from someone else. Fresh Brew was a wonderful journey" - Gary
