Gary Lee Vincent is a singer, songwriter, and producer of original classic-rock, country, and Christian-rock music. Vincent's secular release, "Passion, Pleasure, and Pain," is an infusion of Seventies classic rock nostalgia and country originality refreshing to hear in Independent music.
Influenced by artists such as The Eagles and Jackson Browne, Vincent captures the sound that made classic rock "classic."
Passion, Pleasure, and Pain opens with a Mexican-reggae tune, "Jumpstart My Heart", that hints of Hotel California, Santana guitar, and The Doors' (Ray Manzarek) organ. There is a two-minute plus solo at the end that helped to earn Vincent an honorable mention in Billboard Music's annual songwriter's contest.
"New York City Woman", the album's second song, has a "Life In The Fast Lane" meets Lynyrd Skynyrd sound that will have you holding on to the edge of your seat.
Liner notes from the CD: "We live in a world filled with love and lust, heartache and sorrow. I wrote the songs on this album with a special listener in mind...you. At one point in time, I believe that everyone has had an experience that is addressed on this recording. I do not take a person's emotions lightly and hope that I have done an appropriate job in representing a journey into those feelings." -- Gary Lee Vincent
