Gary Matthews is a songwriter singer the Lord has anointed with gifts and talents to use for His glory. And when they say, "Great poets," they are speaking of the lovely and talented Linda Ann Henry (known throughout the English-speaking world as the People's poet), the great Marilynn Ferguson (author and poet, whose fame has gone out all over the world), and the wonderful Joan Clifton Costner (whose poems have held people spellbound with her poetic greatness).     This is just so so awesome and a real tribute to the poets, Bernice is a friend of mine and as with all the poems on this CD Gary just brings them to life, I get really blessed just listening to Gary bringing them to life

  • A CD For Contemplation

    This CD is rather "off the beaten path" for the artist, Gary Matthews. It is for special occasions, for evenings when one wants to sit and contemplate the words of great poets as said by Gary in his regular voice.He does sing a few stanza's, however! It is a nice change of pace...for a quiet evening.

    gary mathews is one of the best gospel singers out there. i am the poet who wrote "can i light a candle" and "a distance star". yet it is not my poems that stand out, it is the beauitful music and the voice of an angel, of gary mathews. he is not only good at what he does, he also has a beautiful heart and soul which comes out in all his work.
