Gary Michael Bass creates lyrical piano solos that take you on a reflective journey. This distinctive
song-stylist based in Austin, Texas, creates exquisite instrumentals to accompany your early morning
coffee or a late evening drive. His pensive piano recordings provide the perfect soundtrack to life’s simpler
moments.

"When I was five, I started taking piano lessons because my older brother was taking piano lessons, and
anything Andy did, I had to do, only better," says the man who grew-up Gary Bass in the small town of
Shelbyville, Indiana. "My early aspirations were to become either Barry Manilow, Billy Joel, or Elton John
(the piano triumvirate)," relates Bass. He adds, "In high school I played three years for our show choir and

started writing songs. That's where I got The Bug. After college I moved to Austin, Texas, and the rest,
as they say, is hysterical." As an A-list professional pianist in the "Live Music Capital Of The World,"
this Central Texas piano man can be found playing the standards of yesterday and today at countless
wedding receptions and many fine restaurants.

In 2002, Bass realized a life-long dream and released his very first CD, an album of ten original piano solos
called Quiet Steps. He adds, "It's amazing to warm people with my music. It makes such a difference
in my world to make a difference in the world of others."
