Album Notes
Featuring Robin Wilson and Phillip Rhodes of Gin Blossoms, and Daniel Henzerling and Mickey Ferrell of Grievious Angels!

Written and recorded at Uranus Recording of Tempe, the Gas Giants debut took the Gin Blossoms sound to a harder edge. The band toured for a year and had a blast, but ultimatley disbanded in 2001.

Rockin!
Robin Wilson and Phillip Rhodes hit it big with the Gin Blossoms, but now they're back with Daniel Henzerling in the Gas Giants. "From Beyond the Back Burner" combines futuristic guitar effects with clean-cut drums and silky-smooth vocals to make for the best album that I have heard in a long time. There is a song on this album for everyone of any taste. As long as you're a music fan, you will LOVE this CD!

Classic Gin Blossoms Sound
Classic Gin Blossoms sound. It's a great CD to just pop in and let play. However, it lacks the "hooks" that previous Blossoms tunes have had. It doesn't rival New Miserable Experience although it has the same sound....not even sure if that was the intent. Not a bad CD at all.

Hey I thought Gas Giants 'FBTBB' was great... If you're a GB fan you gotta have 'From Beyond The Back Burner'... Not a whole lot different from Gin Blossoms style but rougher edge.

This CD is great! This is the only CD that i have ever been able to play through continuosly and put the entire disc on repeat! I love it and it rocks! If you don't have this disc, buy it! And if you are a jock on the radio, PLAY IT!!!

Awesome power pop/rock album
An excellent album in a similiar vein to the Gin Blossoms. Some classic structured power pop tunes and melodies. Check out the tracks 'I hope my kids like Marilyn Manson', 'Quitter', 'Stinking up the charts' and 'Circus of stars'. I dare you to dislike this album, you just couldn't argue a case against this compact disc!! So go on treat yourself to an album that will stand the test of time.

Excellent record!
Excellent mix of edgy, hard-driving rock and roll and classic pop tunes as well. A must have for fans of Robin Wilson/Gin Blossoms, as the CD represents the best of both worlds, but be aware: this is unmistakably NOT a Gin Blossoms record! Gas Giants stand alone in their uniquely definative sound. Highly recommended for the true rock and roll music lover!

Incredible!
I have always been a fan since of the Gin Blossoms since 1995 and I bought this album when I found out it was released. Robin Wilson has a great voice and the tracks are fantastic!

Still the one
Robin is just an incredible talent. This album is in his vein as were the Gin Blossoms. Oh yeah, by the way, the boys are back! Bad for Gas Giants I suppose, but great for Gin Blossom fans the world over. This one off is terrific however and should be added to all music lovers collections with a special spot for Gin Blossom fans. Kudos to Mr. Wilson.

From Beyond the Back Burner just shows that excellent rock and roll can still exist. The Gin Blossoms it is not, and sadly they will be missed, but the latest incarnation of Robin Wilson's musical mind is perhaps one of the best yet! Robin's found his groove, and it's in the form of a mighty ringed planet!
