Positive determination, a mind that knows, nor sets any boundaries, and a down-to-earth mentality applied to all aspects of life; these three attributes are required for the success of a truly skilled artist, and coincidentally encompass the creative work ethic that Drew Gasparini has exhibited within the California music scene. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Gasparini has been surrounded by music since before he knew what the medium was. With a music teacher for a mother and Zeppelin-induced drummer for a father, its no surprise that this combination of musical DNA produced a singer/songwriter son whos been creating beautiful and harmonic melodies since his adolescence. Following a brief stint in sports at a young age, Gasparini promptly realized that his heart belonged to the art of performing. Gasparinis work in musical theater landed him leading roles in such productions as Evita, The Music Man, and The Whos Tommy. By the age of 15, Gasparini had mastered the piano, drums, and bass, and picked up the guitar by watching the guitar players of the garage bands for which he was the drummer. Proving to be an accomplished vocalist, Gasparini auditioned his way into the award-winning Bay Area a cappella group, Til Dawn, directed by the San Franciscan songwriter and vocalist, Austin Willacy (House Jacks, Karaoke Revolution), and remained with the a cappella group for four years. Gasparini later recorded the Small Thoughts EP with the guidance of Willacy throughout the process. His interest in singing and music also lead him to found, sing for, and arrange for the award-winning singing group, the Accidentals. At 16 years old, the public began to take notice of Gasparinis abilities as a singer/songwriter. He began playing at coffeehouses, parties, clubs, and social benefits around the Bay Area. By the end of his senior year of High School, the Novato unified School District presented Gasparini with an achievement award in singing and song writing. Since then, Gasparini has gone on to study and tutor musicianship in Santa Barbara.
