Album Notes
Gathering Mercury is a Punk/Pop quartet, each of its members is a songwriting force in their
own right. Their music is a melding of diverse influences to a single stream of ideas, both collective and at times contrary.

Formed in America's Heartland, Dayton Ohio has produced such classic acts such as Rick Derringer, Roger Troutman & The Ohio Players.
More recently Dayton has rekindled the creative fires and given us a wide range of newer talent like Hawthorne Heights, John Legend & Guided by Voices.

Gathering Mercury is an emerging female-fronted Punk/Pop band and has made quite a few people take notice in the time they've been together (1 short year).

Imagine the big wall of sound that hits you like a freight train right out of the box, but
they also have the musical prowess to know when to pull back and can deliver the heartfelt
ballads that showcase Stacy's stunning vocal abilities.

Fronted by Ashley Stacy (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Gtr) With her Raw Raspy vocals is often compared to
artists such as Joan Jett & Stevie Nicks, She is also a very respectable guitar player in her own right.

Max Mobarry's (Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals) relentless guitar brings you to your knees.
With an impressive list of musical talents and achievements, he has been celebrated for his
unparalleled abilities as a creative artist and thrilling live performer.

Quique Bucio (Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals) is the backbone of the band. His ability to lay down some catchy bass lines and make the room feel comfortable is uncommon for such a young musician. His wit and humor is a bonus to the mix of GM and adds another integral component to the band, not only is he a great entertainer he is the ultimate team player who can hold things together so that Ashley & Max can have a little more freedom on stage.

John Mangold (Drums) is often called a phenom; his timing and rhythm are impeccable. His
intricate patterns amaze most drummers twice his age (he's only 16). John is the flash in
Gathering Mercury and can make any song explode!

"Our music is all over the place. We’ve been compared to many different artists, which we
Love, but we also think the diverse comparisons show how we’ve created our own unique musical
blend, influenced by, but not derived from, any one band or style".

"We aren’t here to fade into the background and put people to sleep. We’re a high-energy rock
band, and we deliver. It means a lot to us that people come to our
shows, and we’re here to give something back. Something loud, and powerfully infectious".

"Enouff Said"....

Gathering Mercury continues to move forward,
gaining exposure to reach their goal of touring the world.

This has got to be one of the best CD's I have bought in a long time. For this to be their first, I am sure it won't be their last. Such talented young people. Love, love, love it. I need more.
