Album Notes

debut solo album by Gavin Conner from Stafford, Virginia.

In an industry torn between artistic credibility and commercial viability, Gavin Conner's music provides that rare sound that satisfies the demands of both criteria. On the one hand, he is steeped in the kind of thick, lush pop-rock melodies and indelible hooks that send the chills down the back of your neck; on the other, he finds a sardonic, self-deprecating, keenly-observant lyrical sensibility that proudly wears its heart on its sleeve. Forming the band Devon Green in 1995, this three piece rock trio grew together, proving that rock music is only as true as the artist that make it. "All we have ever wanted was to make music that is honest, yet fun to listen to. Like all real artist, at the end of the day that's all we want, to have songs we are proud of." says Gavin; and over the last six years he and Devon Green have done exactly that. Playing live shows throughout the East Coast Gavin Conner has also released his debut solo album "Moving On to A New Disaster" last summer, which creates a sound as exciting and clever as its creator. With songs ranging from catchy power-pop, to emotionally fueled acoustic tracks, Gavin fully covers the spectrum and leaves listeners connected to a common love for honest music. "The album is it's own reward. Anymore it does is a plus. I know what it's about, and what these songs are supposed to sound like, and this is it. This is the record I want people to hear, because this record is the real me, disasters and all."
