Album Notes

Gayla's debut album of original songs, pictures, was reviewed by Westword in Denver, CO as “Broadway-quality songs delivered by a vocalist with a Broadway-quality voice and a gift for arranging.” (Michael Roberts, Feedback, Westword, June 1-7, 1994) Many of the songs on the CD were also part of Gayla's one-woman show, Reflections on Being Single, where her songwriting style was lauded by The Denver Post as “a combination of Laura Nyro, James Taylor, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.” (Jeff Bradley, The Denver Post, March 22, 1993.) Her original work was also performed regionally in concert from 1991-1993 by the Denver-based jazz group, Choice.
