notes
I've been fiddling since 1970, when Dave Swarbrick blew my mind with his fiddling with Fairport Convention. Since then I discovered the traditional fiddling of Maine and the Maritimes, which I have loved and played ever since. Many other styles intrigue me, and, I think, inform my personal style, especially rock, classical, and all kinds of street music from around the world. CENTURY REEL was recorded in 1993, and is a tribute to many personal influences, both elders and contemporaries, who ply their peerless Québecois, Irish, Scottish and Yankee ways, inspiring ecstatic dancing and deep contemplation.
