Album Notes

Story Synopsis:

In the far distant future, evil reigns supreme in the universe under the horrific rule of Emperor Moltor. A stranger emerges from the mists of legend claiming to be the Deliverer of the Remnant, a people whom Moltor has tried to destroy. The Emperor’s only problem is that this stranger is his twin brother, Daylan. By some terrible design Moltor and Daylan share the same soul, so neither can kill the other without forfeiting his own life. They are, however, so diametrically opposed to one another that they will stop at nothing to forward their own agendas.
Daylan searches for the seven keys to the Gates of Elysium, and their Keepers, while being relentlessly pursued by Motor. Only Elysium has the power to defeat Moltor’s evil. Daylan’s search takes him from one corner of the universe to the other displaying a variety of worlds, from warm and inviting, to desolate and haunting. After locating the Keepers who comprise Daylan’s Inner Circle, he has difficulty accepting them. They’re nothing more than a group of misfits and outcasts. An old blind man, an amputee girl, and a harlot slave among others, are not the recipe for heroes and heroines. Yet they become heroes not in spite of their problems, but because of them. Each one has a unique ability afforded to them because of these difficulties, and without them, Daylan, and the Remnant who has waited for him, would be doomed.

About the performer Jeffrey Breslauer (AFTRA – SAG – AEA):

Jeff is an actor, puppeteer, writer, and voice-over artist. He has worked with Jim Henson in “The Muppets Take Manhattan,” and “The Muppets at Walt Disney World.” His on screen credits include: “Police Academy V, “ “Matinee,” “Wiseguy,” “The Adventures of Superboy,” “Swamp Thing,” “Trade Off,” and many others. Jeff’s voice-over talent has been used to dub foreign films into English, and is the voice of, “The Joker” for the Batman Stunt Shows at Six Flags Amusement Parks.
In the audio book, “The Edge of The Universe,” Jeff created a unique voice for every character. It’s incredible to note that there are over a dozen voices in his performance of this audio book, and all of them belong to Jeffrey Breslauer. This is far more than someone reading a book to the listener, it is a total emersion into this far distant universe created by Glenda C. Finkelstein. Through Jeff’s performance you will fear the enemy, rejoice in the heroes triumphs, and hold your breath as you approach the climax of the story. You will know these characters as people, and you, too, will believe.

I met the narrator, Jeffrey Breslauer, and the author, Glenda C. Finkelstein, in Florida a while ago and had to check out their work. I enjoyed listening to the many voices and getting into the story.
