Album Notes

Story Synopsis:

In the year 2250, the Neptune Space Station goes on-line and soon after becomes an enigma for several unexplained deaths. Captain Thomas Emerson, charged with the investigation, finds his abilities inadequate as each finding turns up nothing. After calling for his brother, Dr. Tubal Jordan, to help, they discover that they are dealing with an ancient life form that can’t be killed, bringing them head on with their own tragic past.
Paranoia stalks the space station when it is discovered that this life form could be one of them and was contaminating those they trust the most. After discovering the creature’s true agenda, they are forced to engage in a battle at the threshold between the physical and spiritual realms. Their mandate: stop this terror at any cost and defeat is not an option.

About the performers:
Jeffrey Breslauer (AFTRA – SAG – AEA):

Jeff is an actor, puppeteer, writer, and voice-over artist. He has worked with Jim Henson in “The Muppets Take Manhattan,” and “The Muppets at Walt Disney World.” His on screen credits include: “Police Academy V, “ “Matinee,” “Wiseguy,” “The Adventures of Superboy,” “Swamp Thing,” “Trade Off,” and many others. Jeff’s voice-over talent has been used to dub foreign films into English, and is the voice of, “The Joker” for the Batman Stunt Shows at Six Flags Amusement Parks.
In the audio book, “Nemesis Rising,” Jeff creates another legacy of voices for almost all the male characters and one female character (see if you can figure out which one). In addition to adding his voice talents, he edited the manuscript into an audio drama, as well as directed and post produced. This is literally a movie without the video and comes complete with sound effects and character performances that will make you laugh and cry. You will know the sound of terror. Remember to say your prayers, as some terrors never die.

Glenda C. Finkelstein (Voice Actress)

Who says writers can’t act? Although performing five of the female characters was a new venture for Ms Finkelstein, she rose to the occasion as a seasoned professional. Jeff Breslauer spent a lot of time with her to help her learn various accents, which she practiced faithfully, except in Walmart, where her daughter implored her to behave like a normal mom. There are times that the characters she voices talk to each other, and you can’t tell that it’s Glenda doing both of them. Recording the various voices was done one voice at a time going through the entire book each time. Needless to say when using emotional content on a line that seems out of place and alone leads to some bloopers and fun in the studio. If asked if she would to it again, the answer is unequivocally, “Yes!”

Tony E. Finkelstein (Voice Actor)

Glenda’s husband also got into the act voicing the characters of Dr. Stockard and Security Chief Thornton. Tony Finkelstein has had many careers in life, most notably, as a professional drummer. His band opened for such legendary acts as: Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, among others, and went on summer tour with The Rascals as their opening act. Tony attended the infamous, Woodstock, and has only scattered memories of the event. (Which we all understand is proof he really was there.) He was surprised to note that he was part of the Woodstock documentary being in one of the mud pits. A discovery he made while working as a movie usher where the film was being shown. Not long after these exploits, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served for twelve years with a brief stint in Viet Nam to repair an aircraft. Along the way Tony was in the medical and psychiatric fields, and held down a variety of odd jobs that covers the gambit from soup to nuts. He has appeared as a featured extra in some grade B movies with John Carradine, appeared in community theater as an actor and worked as a make-up artist. In addition, he has worked in every facet of the film industry while serving in the Army/Air Force Motion Picture Service, has done radio voice-over work, starred in his own commercials for his bygone video store. In his spare time, Tony is a convention-booking agent for such actors as Noel Neill, Kenny Miller, Jeff Breslauer, and his, wife, of course.
