The Galactic Council: Cosmic Hip-Hop Activators

The Galactic Council Hip-Hop Collective is a group of spiritual artists who use art to bring healing to Planet Earth. The collective consists of independent hip-hop, reggae, and electronic musicians, who are part of a large network of community activists and healers. The music is a unique combination of conscious hip-hop, funk, and reggae filled with positive vibes and bass-bumping beats.

The Galactic Council Hip-Hop Collective was formed by producers Resonant Sun and Cerberus, both Bay Area natives, who have been producing together for over five years with the intention of creating positive hip-hop. They collaborated with 12 cutting-edge musicians to produce the new Galactic Council CD "Galactic Funktions" including well-known reggae artists Rocker-T and Arjun. Many other talented underground artists also guest-star such as Seasunz, Abai, and Jon Dutro.

Highlights over the last three years include the H.O.M.E. project at Harmony Festival 2007, freestyle space at Symbiosis2007, solar-powered freestyles at Burning Man 2005-2007, and the epic cypher at Earthdance 2006. The birth of Cypher Train was a big hit during "Soulmate Summer" of 2006.
