Album Notes

"Breakfast on Wall Street" is the culmination of three years of studio exploration conducted between Germany and Canada. Our pick of the crop is this collection of toe-stubbing music, filled with the sounds of woodwinds, various guitars, prepared piano, unusual samples and studio effects.

The twelve tracks range from darkly absurd Americana like Porchview and Blues Notice to the spacious brushstrokes of Reclining Nude and Looking Back. One of our personal favorites, TransAtlantischeZeitzonen, is built from ambient recordings made simultaneously in Berlin and Hamilton, and was selected for inclusion in the Deep Wireless 4 compilation CD.

Written just two months before irresponsible financiers triggered a worldwide recession, the title track, "Breakfast on Wall Street", is a premonition, a dark jam session for your morning toast. Bon appetit!
