Self-taught, singer/songwriter, Barbara Gehlmann evokes emotions and memories with her original, "bluesy" folk-rock sound. Her Amy Ray meets Melissa Etheridge voice captivates the hearts and souls of her listening audience. She has often been compared to Jewel, Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, and Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls. This CD displays raw emotions about true life experiences--some angry, sad, and happy.
Barbara Gehlmann has been selected twice for Michelle Malone's SBS Records Compilation Disk with such artists as Michelle Malone, Amy Ray, Jennifer Nettles, Jennie Devoe, and Kevn Kinney from Drivin' N Cryin'. She has also shared the stage with Michelle Malone, Danielle Howle, Jennifer Nettles, Edwin McCain, Melissa Ferrick and The Marshall Tucker Band in various venues across SC.
