Album Notes

These songs are from 12 different bands, but they all have 1 thing in common... they were recorded at a state-of-the-art recording studio for teens in Central California.

The talent you will hear on this album is a rare gem indeed! They would not normally be able to record their songs if they didn't have this community supported studio available to them.

The quality is great: each song has been mixed and mastered by Lucky Lew, who has worked with major artists.

The twelve tracks are from the following California artists:

1. UNDERGRADS from Ceres, who have been playing pop punk together since high school.

2. HERO'S CHOICE from Salida, with their own epic sounding rock style.

3. A MOVER, A FIGHTER from Modesto, featuring acoustic guitars and compelling vocals.

4. RADIO INFLIGHT from Turlock, whose song starts off mellow and builds to a full power pop song.

5. CHANCE JOHNSON from Modesto, whose song is rich with tight hooks.

6. THE NINJA MONKEYS with members from both Patterson and San Leandro, playing their acoustic version of "Prom Date".

7. MATTHEW TORRES from Modesto, who sings his pensive love song "Perfect Things" while accompanying himself on piano.

8. ENAJITE PELA from Stockton, whose soulful voice and words are accented by acoustic guitar.

9. DANNY DELEON of Modesto, featuring an electronica song and his fresh, John Mayer-like vocals.

10. FALL OF VERSAI from Waterford, whose moving rock song "Fear" was written as a gift for a friend.

11. FEELS LIKE A TUESDAY of Riverbank, with their unique experimental blend of voices and instruments.

12. SHAWNEE'S SHRUNKEN HEAD from Riverbank, features some of the most clever lyrics and complex vocal harmonies.

After an industry executive heard this album, the studio received $2,300 worth of software from Oxford Plug-ins.

Insightful Songs
author: Alex Francis
It's really neat to catch a glimpse of the local music around Modesto! The best part of listening is trying to figure out the message of each artist. Each song has something different to say about the lives and experiences of the artists. Thanks for supporting local youth by making recording affordable and fun! I recommend this CD to anyone who's interested in fun, meaningful, and community-supportive music.

Great Album!
author: Matt Nunes
This album is just wonderful, I enjoy all of the songs on this CD. Each band has their own independent feel from each other, from other artists. This is the start of the next generation of music which is available for you to hear before they become huge names!
