Album Notes

It's no secret that Gene Jones is one of my favorite people and has my admiration for his musical abilities. His playing is excellent and his professional steel-guitar background is evident as I hear him play flawlessly throughout this CD. He has not forgotten his roots and his years of experience with such artists as Conway Twitty and Henson Cargill. This is a great CD and like a bottle of fine wine that has aged, Gene sounds even better as he gets older. If he had continued his full-time musical career instead of opting out for "the security of a day job", without a doubt he would be right up there with the great steel-guitar players of today. I couldn't say it any better than Mr. J. Phillips' review. I DIDDO his comments 100%. Real CLASS in triditional cuntry music is hard to find in today's musicians and listening to it is like eating Southern Fried Chicken on Sunday. Gene cooked a fine Sunday meal on this one.
