Album Notes

Homosassa is a real place on the coast of west central Florida. It is often referred to as the Manatee Capital of the World. People come from all over the globe to visit these magical shores. It is rich in history, has a semi tropical climate, and one can dream impossible dreams and make them come true as they watch the "palmy breezes blow." It is a land where artists and minstrels grow. It is a land where folks "Looking for the Good Life" go.

The T-E-A-M; Generation Gap? T-ogether E-ach A-ccomplishes M-ore began with Greg & Sharon. They have been making music and raising their own great kids {together} for more than 20 years.

Why is there a question mark after the name generation gap ? The answer is quite simple and makes absolute sense. "There's no such thing as a Generation gap with God, love and great music."

Their first Cd, Wild Horses was released in 1999.
Many of the songs chosen for this album are reflections of Greg and Shar's journey through their ages as they searched to find the answers to life's questions. It was an emotional and spiritual collection of songs we can all relate to. Wild Horses is no longer available, but these same wonderful songs can be heard on their
Homosassa album.

The newest member of the
T-E-A-M is Dixie Rose. Dixie is a charming, witty and delightful youngin {84 years of chronological age}. She sings like a whipporwill. You can hear her great voice on the title song Homosassa. Dixie is also credited with creating this great hit song more than 20 years ago.

Catfish Al (soundtrack 5} was a real person Greggi & Shar met on the famous McRae's docks in Old Homosassa. He was a mentally challenged young man in his late 30's. He was an avid fisherman, a kindly, trusting and loving person. He was a man with charismatic charm who had a deep faith in God. Shar says, "We don't know what happened to Al. He just disappeared and nobody seems to know where he has gone, but we do know his magnificent spirit will be forever with us. He truly knew the meaning of love."

Generation Gap? may not be the newest stars on the horizon, but they certainly do shine. Their albums tell a wonderful story of love and human growth. Travel musically with them and hear the minstrel changes as they learned to trust and walk with God.

So, where do the old folks go when they retire? Why they go to Florida and continue doing what they love best ... praising God, making music on the stage at Cowboy Junction every Saturday and performing for "Great Kids" of all ages throughout the sunshine state.Homosassa is guaranteed to bring some Florida sunshine into your life.

This Cd is the culmination of original songs written by Matt Levin,{Ma. Montessori educator},Dixie Rose {singer/songwriter}and Greggi & shar{Florida minstrels/song writers}. It is a blend of bluegrass/Florida folk and lively Gospel music.
