Album Notes

This mysterious group from Houston, Tex., seems to record every musical idea that bounces between their ears. Not content with settling on a specific genre or style, their extensive acid-tinged output includes music that ranges from psychedelia to rockabilly, only to be interrupted with hip-hop breaks and Middle Eastern chants in a somewhat confounding stuff-it-all-in-there approach. Their sixth release, Ambidextrous Lucid Pony, will be released in 2006.

The Generic Tribe's sixth album, possibly best

1964-1969 was the first Generic Tribe purchase, which I got on release, and have been an avid fan ever since. Ambidextrous Lucid Pony is by one opinion perhaps the best, showing elements of all their previous work, sharpened. By far the best contemporary smokers choice. BUYBUYBUY BUYBUY BUY BUY IT!
