This CD is the start of a new direction for Gene. Searching for guidance in his music career and his life, he was inspired by Spirit to combine country music with a spiritual/inspirational lyric. These songs were all written by Gene and were recorded at Omni Sound Studios in Nashville, TN with some of Nashville's finest musicians who have played for Hank Williams Jr., Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss and many other country stars.

As Gene has pursued his singer/songwriter career, he has read many inspirational books and listened to many inspirational speakers to encourage him on his path (see the list below).
