This digital-only edition of "Taboo!" features Gene's picks from the full, CD version available at Silicon Music's website (link in left menu). The 24-track, CD release contains flip-sides from his popular singles, never-before-heard rehearsals, live performances and home recordings. There are also 7 previously unissued tracks direct from the vault! As an anthology spanning three decades, "Taboo!" is an introduction to the other side of Gene's music. Most noted for his contribution to early Rock 'n Roll history with classics like "School of Rock 'n Roll" and "Nervous" Summers also recorded and performed a wide variety of Rhythm & Blues, Pop and Country that, until now, has remained largely unreleased. "Taboo!" was inspired by a recent surge of interest in the 1961 album cut of "Taboo" and other non-Rockabilly recordings by Gene on YouTube and across the Web. As you can imagine the sound quality of these online posts is not up to snuff. Real fans deserve the "real deal" and these digitally remastered gems will not disappoint!
